Respite Care
Need a break in caring for your loved one or have a vacation coming up? Caring for loved ones can be a rewarding experience, but it's also a stressful, demanding responsibility. This applies in particular if you’re raising a family or juggling a full-time job − or, all too often, both!
Alzheimer and Dementia Care
All of our caregivers are trained in Alzheimer's disease and dementia care. While developing a relationship with the senior, the caregiver can plan activities that could help the senior simulate mental or physical activities that have been shown to create more lucid thought. The senior and care provider can listen to music together from the senior's favorite era, read an old favorite book or even do memory exercises like looking through family photos or discussing current events.
Surgery After Care
If you are scheduled for an upcoming surgery and feel you may need help afterward we are here to help. Just provide us with the information of your scheduled surgery and we’ll do the rest; discussing your potential needs with you, your family and your physician to determine just the right plan for your recuperation. Most patients find they just need our assistance for a short period of time while they get back on their feet.
Nursing Care Management
Harbor Point Care Managers are health and human services professionals who specialize in issues relating to aging. As Registered Nurses and Masters of Social Work, we are professionally trained to work with aging adults and chronically ill persons to build a stable and quality life for clients and their families. Our RN Care Managers are and master of social work experienced advocates capable of managing complex situations and finding intelligent and creative solutions for all care concerns.
